About ASEMS

Sport and exercise medicine only works as a team. An athlete's recovery runs through a doctor, a physiotherapist, an exercise physiologist, a podiatrist, a dietitian and a psychologist, and the outcome depends less on any one of them than on how well they work together.

Student life is the opposite. Everyone is siloed inside their own degree, on their own campus, learning their own scope in isolation. Most of us graduate having never sat in a room with the disciplines we will spend an entire career depending on.

ASEMS exists to close that gap early. We bring students from every sport and exercise discipline together while they are still students, so they learn what everyone else actually does, where the roles overlap, and how to talk to each other before the stakes are real.
